Charu Calculator Privacy Policy

Charu Calculator ("the App") is a premium calculator for Android. It offers a standard and a scientific calculator, calculation history, and settings — all built with a single, simple promise: your data stays on your device.

This privacy policy explains, in plain language, what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. Your calculations, history and settings never leave your device. The only third-party involvement is Google AdMob, which serves the ads that keep the App free.

The App is designed so that no personal information ever reaches us — or anyone else:

• No account, registration, or sign-in of any kind
• No name, email address, phone number, or other contact details
• No location data (GPS, Wi-Fi, or network based)
• No browsing history, contacts, or media files
• No device identifiers used for tracking (IMEI, advertising ID, etc.)
• No payment or purchase information — the App is free and has no in-app purchases

A note about ads: the App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google's ad SDK may collect limited, non-personal advertising data (such as the advertising identifier and coarse usage information) to serve and measure ads. You can read Google's Privacy Policy and manage ad personalization at policies.google.com/privacy. Your expressions, results, history and settings always stay on your device and are never shared.

The only information the App ever stores is saved locally on your own device, in the private storage area that Android gives the App:

• Your settings — theme (system / dark / light), angle unit (DEG / RAD), key sound, haptic feedback, and digit grouping preference
• Your calculation history, so you can quickly reuse a previous result

This local data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, is not accessible to other apps, and is not sent to us.

The App requests no sensitive permissions. It never asks for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, location, or storage. The only permission present is Internet, which is needed to load the ads served by Google AdMob — the calculator itself works fully without it.

The App is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob is the only third-party SDK in the App:

• No analytics or usage-statistics SDKs
• No crash-reporting tools that send logs off-device
• No fingerprinting or behavioral tracking
• No ad mediation networks

Google's Mobile Ads SDK may use your device's advertising identifier and general usage information to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy → Ads, and learn more about how Google uses data at policies.google.com/privacy.

The calculator works fully offline — every calculation runs entirely on your device, and your history and settings are never transmitted. An internet connection is only used to load advertisements from Google AdMob.

Your settings and history are stored in the App's private sandboxed storage, which Android keeps isolated from other apps. Your calculations are never transmitted — only ad requests are sent to Google AdMob over standard secure connections.

• Local data stays inside the App's protected storage area
• Calculation data is never transmitted over the network
• No backend servers exist — there is nothing for us to secure or leak

The App is suitable for users of all ages, including children. Because the App does not collect any personal information — and never asks a child for a name, email, or any other identifier — there is no data collected from children under the age of 13, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) principles. Google's ad SDK likewise follows its Families policy for child-directed audiences, which restricts personalized advertising.

You stay in full control at all times:

• Clear history — delete your calculation history any time from the History screen in the App
• Delete everything — uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored settings and history
• No server-side data — because we operate no servers and hold no records, there is nothing for you to request, export, or erase from our side

If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we will also highlight them here so you can easily see what changed. Since the App's privacy promises are part of its design, we don't expect these to change — but if they ever do, you'll be the first to know.
